Accountabilities This position reports to the Supervisor of Billing and is responsible for the daily customer billing and a variety of other billing activities.
Member of the Billing team for Liberty Utilities Central Division.
Performs all aspects of Billing, including Exceptions, Adjustments and Complaints efficiently and timely Monitors bill production activities conducted by Liberty Utilities contracted billing vendor Become competent in the Cogsdale System in identifying issues, taking actions towards resolution; ensuring all routines are accurate and timely Ensures timely, accurate and quality billing processes and performs troubleshooting when necessary Assists with meter reading exceptions Competes billing service orders entered from customer service Completes service orders in a timely matter to final customer Receives and processes billing transactions and requests.
Further escalates items of a complex nature to the designated level of responsibility Other duties as assigned Education and Experience High School diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and two years of progressively responsible related experience Utility industry experience preferred Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers Requires the ability to perform advanced mathematical operations and /or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods Requires advance knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports and/or graphics Valid Operator’s Driver’s License and proof of current insurance.
The employee must have the availability to travel if needed by the company and, accordingly, must possess or be eligible to obtain a US Passport.
