ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Position requires you to operate the front desk, assist guests with registration and checkout, and handle requests for rooms received by phone, e-mail, or customers at the desk.
Youll be expected to provide information to guests concerning rates, availability of rooms, description of facilities and services, and information about area attractions and sight-seeing opportunities.
Has complete working knowledge of software system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
Communicates with the Housekeeping Department regarding guest rooms and requests
Receives money from guests for payment of hotel charges and makes correct change
Handles checks and credit cards received from the guests for payment of hotel charges
Knows all of the room rates
Issues safety deposit boxes to guests when requested
Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules

EXPERIENCE: Must have strong computer skills with Excel and Word, and possess at least one years service with hotel, including some experience in operating or assisting at reservation desk.
Familiarity with the local area and its attractions is key.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Strength to move up to 25 lbs.
at a time.
Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours and maneuver in or outside the casino.
Visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer complaints or questions.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to bend, kneel, twist and stretch/reach above head.
Have good dexterity in fingers
WORK ENVIRONMENT: We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace.
Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and perform in casino operations containing smoke and second hand smoke with high noise level and bright lights.
Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: The successful applicant for this job manages the operation of the registration desk efficiently; keep time required for check-in and check-out to a minimum; see that final bills are provided to guests promptly; and directs guest to proper hotel staff members for food, housekeeping, laundry, and concierge services.
