EXPERIENCED CONCRETE SUPERINTENDENT
Asbell Companies is currently seeking an experienced CONCRETE SUPERINTENDENT to join our team.
Candidates will be responsible for forming, placing, and finishing concrete as well as performing other construction related tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
Placement of flatwork as well as vertical concrete
Spread, vibrate, screed, and float concrete to ensure that concrete is compacted to desired consistency and surface is finished to specified uniformity and smoothness
Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task
Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same
Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task.
Must be able to read blueprints, perform layout and understand testing and curing of concrete
Must be highly motivated, fast paced, a self-starter who is detailed oriented and organized.
Maintains efficient jobsite through team members performance and the preparation and use of tools and equipment
Working knowledge of Local, State, and OSHA safety requirements and guidelines
An extensive knowledge of Concrete construction plans specification and shop drawings associated with concrete not limited to reinforcing, form work, embed, anchor bolts, etc.
Management of a concrete crew
Requirements:
Verifiable work history
Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen
Reliable transportation is mandatory
Job Site varies
BNSF, eRail, OSHA-10 Hour Construction, and other safety training, may obtain upon hire.
Lifting 50-70 pounds frequently along with frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
Working at heights may be required
Temporary travel may be required for projects out of town
