com Job Description We’re looking for an on-site full-time, staff Operations Manager to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Parsons, KS.
The incumbent for this role will enjoy a 4-day workweek: Mon - Fri, day shift! As the Operations Manager here’s the work you’ll do: Leads, manages, and coordinates matrix organizational functions to achieve customer and Company requirements and goals for assigned programs and projects (budget, schedule, quality of deliverables).
Directs production schedule to meet required delivery dates managing manpower, inventory, and delivery dates as necessary.
Establishes staffing requirements and maintains manpower forecasts for all functions within production area.
Coordinates daily work assignments, re-assigns personnel as needed to complete schedule.
Provides guidance and leadership to supervisory subordinates in planning operations to meet established schedules within budgets.
Customer facing role to understand needs and requirements, grow customer relationships, build company integrity, continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Analyzes production reports and recommends corrective action when necessary to produce scheduled items within established cost.
Assures that all production facilities and equipment are properly maintained and operated.
This role is for you if you have these skills: Strong oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills; Ability to represent the company in a professional manner to win customer confidence; Ability to understand and communicate technical issues.
Ability to problem solve using quantitative and qualitative approaches.
Deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Organized in approach to work.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Delegates work assignments; Matches the responsibility to the person; Gives authority to work independently; Sets expectations and monitors delegated activities; Provides recognition for results.
Ability to analyze equipment, process, and output to insure optimal performance.
Working knowledge of machinery.
Proficiency in Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and other software programs is needed.
Proactive and responds promptly to customer needs both internal and external.
Maintains confidentiality.
Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
Has excellent phone skills.
Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
And if you have these qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or technical field, or related experience in-lieu of degree.
Length of Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressively complex experience in a manufacturing/industrial background is required with a minimum of 2 years experience as an Operations/Production Supervisor, equivalent or higher level.
Certifications: Government Secret Clearance may be required.
Licenses/ Registrations: Valid driver's license is required.
Other: SAP experience preferred.
Great attitude and team player.
Successful completion of background screening process.
Salary In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $104,080.
