EXPERIENCE: General construction laborer experience required.
Including use of hand tools, construction equipment and lawn care equipment.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license; state issued id
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction; reach, push and pull with hands and arms; sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust and noise
JOB SUMMARY: To complete jobs and maintain the facility in safe and sanitary conditions; maintain the structural integrity of the building; Maintain the facility in an inviting atmosphere.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Required to work any day of the week, any shift including weekends and holidays; Required to have a good rapport with co-workers and develop teamwork
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Read and interpret plans, instructions and specifications while laying out work areas where construction work will be performed.
Operate hand tools, identify building materials and machinery needed to complete projects in a timely manner.
Load and unload materials, salvage useful materials, measure and mark construction areas.
Performs and completes all jobs assigned in a professional manner
Follows GLC policies and procedures
Maintains appearance of the facility inside and out
Cleans up after each job and puts tools and equipment in their place
Maintains a high level of cleanliness and appearance at all times
Develop and maintain a friendly, courteous rapport with customers and staff
Has the ability to work with others to complete special projects or task assigned daily, weekly, or routinely.
Has the ability to work independently
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Reliable transportation
At least 18 years of age
Written and verbal communication skills
Multitasking skills
Adaptability
