Our Frontenac, Kansas facility is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Quality Control Technician position for night shift.
This is a 12 hour shift from 6:00 am to 6:20 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY - The Quality Assurance Technician has responsibility for the chemical and physical testing of incoming materials, packaging, and finished product to assure compliance with quality requirements and regulatory guidelines.
Data is interpreted and effectively communicated to plant personnel in order to assure process control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect and analyze ingredients and product samples
Interpret, communicate, and enter test data in an effective, accurate and timely manner
Effectively operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Responsible for plant-wide cleanup functions
Verify critical Quality and Food Safety tasks as they are completed to ensure compliance
Actively support all plant goals and objectives including Quality, Safety, and Production
Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner
Assigned shift attendance is required
Ability to work as part of a team and assist fellow employees as needed
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED
Knowledge of wet chemistry testing equipment and techniques and knowledge of product attributes and specifications is preferred
Fundamental knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Statistical Process Control is preferred
Production, plant, and laboratory safety awareness is preferred
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Independent judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with an emphasis on flexibility and positive response to changing business needs
Computer skills including, but not limited to, data entry
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and write English
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's, and general instructions
Good communication skills are required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Be able to lift 50 pounds on a routine basis
Push/Pull up to 100 pounds on a routine basis
Be able to climb and work in extreme heat or cold and on scaffolding at very high elevations
