*Summary/Objective*
The Operations Supervisor must direct and coordinate all activities related to assigned departments to maximize productivity and minimize cost while achieving safety, quality and throughput goals.
The supervisor, in close collaboration with Plant Manager, works to ensure the department completes daily and weekly schedules for production, adjusting for absences and evolving production priorities.
*Essential Functions*

* Oversees CNC and manual machine work centers, as well as edge banding machines, chair production, assembly, and general labor areas in order to drive quality and on-time delivery.
* In charge of personnel, set ups and operation of all CNC and manual machines that perform a variety of processing operations
* Responsible for managing department productivity, workload scheduling, work quality, and minimizing waste, and procedural non-conformances.
* Coordinates production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers, including assisting in production as needed.
* Assists with staffing levels, performance reviews, compensation recommendations and overtime budgets.
* Schedules and conducts weekly safety and shift meetings, or other communication.
* Implement and maintain a 5S program in conjunction with Quality Manager and Safety consultant.
* Drives continuous improvement in process flow and production activities, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.

to 4:30 p.
m.
, However, this is an hourly/non-exempt position with a minimum schedule of 40 hours per week.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
*Required Education and Experience*
1.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2.
5+ years of supervisory experience, as well as job related training and experience, including training, machine set ups, and extensive experience in machining.
3.
Knowledge of schematic documentation and dimensioning and able to read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
4.
Familiarity with 3, 4 & 5 Axis, computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tool operating procedures.
5.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and production software.
*Preferred Education and Experience*
1.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing management or the equivalent of 5 years of manufacturing experience at a supervisory level.
2.
Three (3) years of CNC setup and/or programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with wood routers (Woodwop 5) is a plus
