See what Tank Connection has in store for your future! Position Summary: The Laboratory Technician Intern is an entry-level position.
The intern will work alongside the Corporate Coatings Line Manager and other team members within the organization to gain experience in multiple technical roles.
Laboratory Technician Intern Duties and Responsibilities: Aid in developing in-house testing capabilities.
Testing of in-process powder production samples.
Participate/lead root cause analysis as production issues arise.
Utilize and strictly adhere to standardized test methods.
Track and analyze data utilizing statistical methods and recommend areas of improvement.
Develop sampling plans.
Conduct research using the internet and other sources of information.
Perform analytical work for manufacturing-related objectives.
Assist company personnel in research and development related projects.
Create memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed by department personnel.
Create or update systems or designated databases for specific department needs.
Follow best practices, policies and procedures in the design, layout, and documentation of all company products.
Provide regular feedback and updates to project team members and immediate supervisor about the status of assigned tasks.
Present project results to management and/or department personnel.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Laboratory Technician Intern Skills and Specifications: Solid problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G-Suite.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Able to manage and multitask work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work proactively and independently on a broad variety of projects.
Ability to contribute and work in a team environment.
Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
Laboratory Technician Intern Education and Qualifications: High school/college entry-level.
Laboratory Technician Intern Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of Laboratory Technician Intern, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
The employee is occasionally required to crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Laboratory Technician Intern Work Environment: While performing the duties of Laboratory Technician Intern, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
