Position Summary:
Load and/or unload trucks.
Receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory of all types in accordance with established systems, procedures and methods.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local, state and federal requirements
Perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
Manage day to day inventory levels
Maintain Forklift certification
Periodic inventories
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends to management remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
Timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load board oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts, quality and complete all required paperwork and transactions associated to this process
Stacks and arranges product on pallets
Completes forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift
Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily
Moves product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory
Rotates product and arranges according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out)
Receives and checks against receiving documents incoming products, ensuring proper product code, quantity and condition; reports any discrepancies to the lead
Operates electric forklifts and pallet jacks
Works in and out of the freezers, temperatures average 32 degrees to -25 degrees
General support of production
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
Use proper lifting techniques
Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
Use personal assistance (buddy)
Use handrails
Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees.
Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company.
Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.
Position Qualifications:
Prefer High school diploma or GED
3-4 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience
One year of shift lead experience with sound, effective communication skills
Maintain forklift certification
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Ability to work in production/warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery
Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
