Position Summary:
Prep vegetables for rice processing.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Retrieve product/components and bring to workstation.
Receives all components according to production schedule(s)
Informs Lead Person of shortage or overage on product.
Opens ingredients for supply to hopper.
Shovel ingredients for supply to hopper
Completes all required paperwork for work are
Labels products appropriately.
Ensures work is done to production standards
Must be able to follow the plant’s FIFO (first in, first out) program to ensure that all ingredients are used in the proper order.
Performs work safely and in compliance with all government regulations
Other duties as assigned
Follow all safety procedures
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
Use proper lifting techniques
Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
Use personal assistance (buddy)
Use handrails
Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees.
Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company.
Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.
Position Qualifications:
Prefer High School Diploma/GED
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing environment or equivalent type of manufacturing
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracy
Reliable
Self-driven
Minimal Supervision
Forklift/Palletjack Certification
