Summary Oversee a crew of Signal Installers to efficiently complete railroad crossing construction projects while maintaining safe work practices.
Required Experiences: Complete understanding of Railroad Operating Rules, Timetables, and GCOR Knowledge of Construction site safe work practices 1+ Years of experience in Railroad Signal Construction Knowledge of daily maintenance & inspections of company owned vehicles & equipment.
Skilled in interpreting construction and electrical drawings Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring all workers on-site are in accordance with the Railroad & CDL Electric’s rules.
Maintaining clean, operable, and compliant vehicles and equipment.
Returns all required paperwork, such as in-service drawings, and photos to engineering in a timely manner.
Perform required testing prior to placing a crossing in service.
Completing projects in the safest and most efficient manner.
Submitting timesheets daily for his/her crew members and submitting vacation requests with sufficient notice.
Providing a clean worksite, safe for motorists, public bystanders and workers.
Coordination with other on-site work groups and contractors.
Always Conducting him/herself in a professional and respectful manner.
Ensuring all drivers and vehicles assigned are DOT compliant.
Accountability for all company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment assigned to his/her crew.
Ensuring all Crew Member’s hours-of-service are up to date and submitted every two weeks.
Be a team player willing to help out other divisions and on special projects, when assigned.
