Summary
Prepares estimates of probable costs of materials, labor, and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications.
Required Experiences:
Ability to work with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers.
Proficiency in mathematics, statistics and data analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of relevant technical and non-technical documents.
Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
Experience with Project Management software such as Monday.
com.
Background in Project Management and/or Railroad Crossing Warning Systems is highly advantageous.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze costs and prepares accurate estimates on construction projects in various stages of project development.
Attend on-site pre bid meetings with customers and potential clients.
Collect all pertinent documents including but not limited to: budgeting, technical drawings and project specifications.
Drafting proposals that detail materials, labor, and equipment.
Coordination with railroad representatives on potential projects.
Ensuring all projects bids are to CDL Electric standards using quality/approved products.
Develops estimates in consideration with safety regulations, codes and compliance.
Provide support, guidance, and advice to the Construction Managers.
Review job costing reports to obtain data for future estimate adjustments.
Detailed and timely site surveys.
Other duties as required or assigned by leadership team.
