Position Purpose: The Metal Fabrication Team Lead will direct and oversee the fabrication process of various construction projects from start to finish.
They will perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
This position must be flexible enough to work in multiple environments and in most weather conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Lead the focus on safety within the fabrication process with improved safety performance.
· Manage the fabrication processes to deliver orders from design stage to shipping.
· Drive the development of high-performance work.
· Provide expertise in manufacturing processes, equipment, and capability.
· Deliver continuous improvement of outcomes in the production/supply/support of manufacturing and customer service.
· Work closely with the Director of Construction on various projects with fabrication deliverables.
· Manage conversion costs, man-hours per ton/piece, scrap rate reduction and thorough analysis of data support direct relationships in manufacturing.
· Coordinates all aspects of assigned fabrication projects.
· Able to work with various metal types successfully and use the proper fabrication techniques when building out projects.
· Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Education and Experience: · Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Weld Technology, or the like, preferred.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Industry certifications a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Experience working with architectural blueprints and specifications.
· Experience in architectural industry with hands-on involvement in operational activities.
· Must be able to meet quality and deadline expectations.
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities Root Cause Analysis Scheduling of raw materials, component parts and WIP Management of Inventory.
· Leadership and coaching experience.
· Ability to work in metric and English units of measure.
· Knowledge of steel and welding.
· Proficiency with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.
Certifications: · Valid Driver’s License and Insurance.

Work Requirements: Position involves prolonged sitting, standing, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying 50 plus pounds on a daily basis.
Work is generally performed in a shop environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
