*SUMMARY*
Missouri Walnut Group is seeking a Forklift Operator to move packages and material around our facilities.
You will be operating a forklift with the upmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.
Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities.
You must be a responsible individual with previous experience in driving industrial vehicles.
The goal will be to ensure that material products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
This position participates in our monthly profit-sharing bonus program which is based off production.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
* Operate forklifts in a safe manner to unload raw materials and load finished goods.
* Using a forklift supply material for grading and transport material for warehousing.
* Responsible for banding and un-banding of lumber.
* Perform routine inspection and routine maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects and major repairs to mechanic.
* Operate small equipment and tools to maintain the equipment.
* Other duties as may be assigned by the company.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Ability to read and/or understand basic English in order to comply with safety requirements and supervisor instructions
* Must have experience in the operation and use of medium and/or heavy equipment.
* Must be able to use equipment and tools to perform basic maintenance of equipment.
* Must possess the required forklift certification and operator license as required by the company.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS*
* Work will be primarily outside and employee will be exposed to weather conditions.
* Employee is required to mount and dismount from the equipment on a regular basis in the performance of the job.
* Must follow all personal protective equipment and safety requirements.
* Work is in a dusty and noisy environment.
* Employee will be required to frequently lift/move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT*
* The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but can be loud in certain areas of the operation’s facilities.
