As a Sales Representative, your goal is to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Have working knowledge of the sales objectives; weekly, monthly, yearly
Develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
Make phone calls and in-person visits to existing and prospective customers
Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotes
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints
Overcome objections
Coordinate sales efforts with Marketing, Management, and other sales team representatives
Plans and organizes a personal sales strategy to meet objectives/goals
Supplies Sales Manager with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products
Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports and other needed documentation
Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity when representing the company
The right candidate will have the following skills and abilities:
Work independently and as part of a team
Adapt to change quickly
Ability to perform basic calculations, have strong computer skills; MS Office Suite, Internet, etc.
Able to sit for long periods of time
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
Exceptional communication skills including verbal, written, and listening
