Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to oversee the operations of our retail thrift store.
The Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring the store runs smoothly, meeting sales targets, and providing excellent customer service.
This is a leadership role that requires strong managerial skills and a passion for delivering exceptional retail experiences.
Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures - Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets - Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are adequately stocked - Train, supervise, and motivate a team of volunteers to provide excellent customer service - Conduct Volunteer orientation and ongoing training - Recruit, interview, and welcome new volunteers as needed - Set performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback and coaching - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures - Maintain a clean and organized store environment - Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner - Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively Qualifications: - Previous experience in retail management is required - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Multilingual abilities are a plus - Proficient in phone etiquette and customer service best practices - Experience in recruiting, training development, and performance management - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Knowledge of budgeting principles and ability to manage store finances effectively - Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a retail environment As a Store Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, contribute to the success the main mission of the Crisis Center, "to help people who are homeless and needy to return to self-sufficency with God's help and the support of gthe community.
