Job Title: Mortgage Sales Assistant Under limited supervision, the Mortgage Sales Assistant will support the mortgage lenders in seeking new business opportunities for potential sales and maintain the CRM (customer relationship management) system.
The incumbent will actively participate in sales development activities within the community and remain knowledgeable of mortgage products.
Additionally, the Mortgage Sales Assistant will support the Mortgage Lenders to ensure the loan application and corresponding documentation meet the applicable loan program guidelines and provide customer support for three steps of the mortgage process: application, appraisal and closing.
Lenders must produce 6-8 units/month and have sustained production for six months for the region to utilize this role.

What You Will Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.
) • Work directly with the Mortgage Lenders to manage leads and contacts for new mortgage business.
• Proactively contact the existing base of households after reviewing the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system for a comprehensive picture of the customer relationship and potential sales.
Follow-up with customers on any outstanding pre-qualifications.
• Participate in sales development activities within the community: Chamber of Commerce events, Business Expos, Realtor Open Houses, Real Estate Luncheons, etc.
, to cultivate new customer relationships.
Utilize company-approved creative marketing and sales techniques to identify potential customers further.
• Maintain mortgage product knowledge to communicate with current and potential customers effectively.
Recognize selling opportunities, cross-sell bank products and make referrals.
• Support lenders by ensuring loan applications and corresponding documentation meet the applicable loan program; collect and review credit documentation needed for submission to Operations.
• Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the following points of contact: review loan application packages with the borrower(s) and obtain signatures, fees and any supporting documents needed for initial processor review; notify the customer of appraisal and obtain appraisal acknowledgment form; schedule closing with applicable parties.
• Communicate effectively with mortgage lenders, customers, and operations associates to provide accurate and efficient information to generate quality loans that meet regulatory guidelines.
• Gather data from various sources and prepare reports and correspondence as appropriate.
• Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties.
This includes but is not limited to complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
Supervisory Responsibilities: NA Responsibilities: Toolbox for Success: • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 2 years of sales experience required.
• Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
• Mortgage, real estate, or related industry experience is preferred.
• Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
Physical Demands: The associate must be able to travel occasionally by themselves within the US, possibly overnight.
