Great Dane Female (Moundville)

As many of you know we try to rehabilitate those in need when we can.
Some of you may remember our post about Miss Trixie months ago when she came to us.
She’s turned into a beauty queen with a gorgeous loving personality and is finally ready to find her furever home.
Info on Trixie Great Dane Female Intact AKC- full rights Born 8/13/23 Microchipped Up to date on Rabies, boosters, deworming Has prescription eye drops due to mild cherry eye “Beatrix Maybelle” aka Trixie aka Tricky Very loving and loyal Great with kids, cats, dogs of all sizes Good with chickens but still a giant puppy so best to watch her and remind her to be nice occasionally Loves swimming, playing ball, flopping around the yard with sticks and ropes.
Has a basketball ball she deflated she bounces around with 😂 Fully crate and kennel trained Housebroken- will go to the door and stare at you until you let her out potty Leash broke Basic commands- come here, sit, down, wait (we’re working on stay but she’s a Velcro dog at heart) Responds to whistling to return as well Has good hunting instincts- I’ve only started basic scent and retrieval training with her.
She’d make a great tracker though.
Her current roll in our pack is to show me where the boys are at (they do the brunt of our hunting) She’s very mothering and loveable.
I cannot say enough just how much of a love bug she is.
She will happily lay by your feet in the house all day or romp around your side outside.
Only destructive to her toys, won’t eat your house She is a little scared of rain so will whine to be by your side during storms.
Has had mild case of cherry eye since she was a puppy- it is maintained with prescription eye drops from her vet.
You can barely see it in her left eye.
She is used to getting the drops every evening at 7:30 and will sit with her head tilted in your lap for them.
She has five scars from treatments from the vet.
They were infected sores when we got her but since being treated they have healed nicely.
She just doesn’t grow hair in those small spots- all are size of a penny or less.
She is a very good girl just had a long rough road to being the beauty she is now.
