Description:
SUMMARY: Responsible to develop and maintain an effective/cost efficient routing system with a clear focus and high emphasis on Customer Service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Follow good housekeeping practices.
Follow all safety guidelines, wear designated PPE and comply with all OSHA safety guidelines.
Must have the ability to identify and understand customer requirements.
Train sales, merchandiser/route personnel.
Make periodic store checks to identify additional training needs.
Work with/monitor and track all routes and employees to improve overall performance.
Work as fill-in on routes to cover for vacation and sickness.
Ride with drivers to assess overall performance.
Coach employees for performance improvement.
Assist with development and implementation for Company policy, or change to existing policies.
Assist with all store marketing, such as displays, rack placements, cooler sets, RED system, etc.
Ensure that all marketing promotions are merchandised timely and correct.
Immediately investigate/report all accidents/injuries involving direct reports.
Track and report performance compared with Key Business Indicators.
Fill in for Account Managers
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and manage all employees working as route drivers.
Requirements:
COMPETENCIES: Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.

Education and/or Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, 1-year route sales work experience required.
Language Skills: Ability to interpret and analyze written information.
Ability to respond to Customer and employee inquires.
Excellent communications skill required.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
Computer Skills: General computer skills required.
Microsoft Office (Word, excel, outlook).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Class A CDL license, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
Other Qualifications: Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack to lift/move product.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch/kneel bend and reach.
The employee will be on feet for multiple hours, moving, bending, lifting, stacking, un-stacking, squatting, and stretching in displaying product.
Helpers cannot be used.
The employee must lift, push, pull, carry and/or move from 10 to 60 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions in this position.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
