Position Purpose
To provide leadership and oversee gaming operations when needed in the absence of the General Manager, Director of Casino Operations, Operations Manager, and department heads assuming oversight responsibility with decision making authority.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Primary job responsibilities shall be as a Slot Attendant.
· Report as needed to fulfill the job responsibilities as a Shift Supervisor.
· Establish and maintain professional and courteous guest and employee relations.
· Respond quickly and courteously to requests for service.
· Provide cash exchanges and payouts to guests following jackpot procedures.
· Maintain an accurate accounting of the funds.
· Perform minor machine maintenance such as loading paper, ribbon, or repairing bill jams.
· Be knowledgeable of all departmental and casino policies and procedures and all gaming rules and regulations.
· Ensure compliance with federal and Tribal laws and regulations.
· Observe and report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to the appropriate department head.
Provide exceptional guest service.
· Explain promotions and slot machine features to guests when needed.
· Witness payouts to guests ensuring that jackpot procedures are enforced.
· Become familiar with casino events and promotions in order to accurately inform guests.
· Communicate all guest complaints or concerns to the Slot Personnel Coordinator.
· Report all gaming machine malfunctions to the Slot Performance Coordinator in a timely manner.
· Maintain a visual presence on the casino floor.
· Assume the duties of another Shift Supervisor in his or her absence.
· Take effective measures to ensure the shift runs smoothly.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education/Qualifications
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Prior gaming or supervisory experience preferred.
Licensing
· Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License
Work Requirements
Shift Hours: Graveyard/Swing
Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily.
Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
