*Descriptive Summary*
Plans, directs, coordinates, and controls activities of workers engaged in assembling parts and assemblies for final assembly and foundry duties of pouring castings, grinding, cutting, and sawing.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manual specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
* Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
* Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
* Develops and provides input on assembly requirements needed to determine the total labor for a customer’s order and on casting requirements needed to determine the total labor.
* Develops a process plan including people, resources, equipment, and floor space for each customer order.
* Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
* Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
* Maintains time and production records.
* Sets up machines and equipment to develop physical layout of machines according to work orders.
* Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to meet production schedules.
* Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel or appropriate contractor.
* Interfaces with others in the organization to make sure inventory is correct, min/max levels are figured correctly, and other measures to ensure parts are available to build to schedule.
* Creates detailed scheduled timelines to ensure customer shipment dates and equipment specifications are met.
* Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions.
* Performs activities of workers supervised.
* Inspects and measures parts.
* Analyze safety issues and recommend safety equipment needed.
* Monitors worker performance and makes sure performance is up to standards of speed, quality, and safety.
* Daily contribution as a team member is expected with regular attendance and punctuality.
* Other duties as assigned.
