Missouri Southern State University, having a statewide mission in Health and Life Sciences, recently approved by the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education, is seeking candidates for a 10-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology.
The position will begin on August 1, 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.
A Ph.
D.
in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a closely related field is preferred; however, candidates who are ABD with a commitment to complete a PhD.

Compensation will be based on rank, credentials and experience.
While multiple areas of specialization will be considered, ideal candidates will have an emphasis Exercise Science and Biomechanics.
The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and advising at the undergraduate level.
Successful candidates should be prepared to teach Exercise Science courses and oversee internships.
Other responsibilities include student advising, recruitment and active participation in service and scholarship.
Interdisciplinary collaboration across the college of Health, Life Sciences and Education is encouraged with the creation of a Rehabilitation Lab within the new Simulation hospital.
