MSSU is currently seeking candidates for a Public Relations/Digital Media Communication tenure track Assistant Professor or Master Instructor position in the Communication Department starting either January 2024 or August 2024 in Joplin, Missouri.
At MSSU, we evaluate tenure-track faculty based on the three measurements of teaching, service, and research.
Successful candidates should be prepared to teach Introduction to Public Relations, Writing for PR, and other courses related to digital media as needed by the department.
Service includes student advising and campus committee service.
The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and advising at the undergraduate level.
A Ph.
D.
in Communication or a related field is preferred and will be considered for the assistant professor position.
An M.
A.
degree with industry experience will be considered for the Master Instructor position (nontenure).
