Responsibilities of the position:
Primary responsibility is to help refugees who are juniors in high school or older to achieve their educational goals
Assist clients with applying for and enrolling in college, vocational tech, or certification programs
Assist clients with getting transcripts translated and evaluated
Assist clients by connecting them with resources to study for and take the HiSET
Search for scholarship and grant opportunities that will help refugees fulfill their educational goals
Secondary Responsibilities:
Provide transportation for clients as needed.
Using a RAISE vehicle
Using a personal vehicle and getting reimbursed for mileage
Assist the Case Management team in other activities as needed
Attend Friday staff meetings: 9:00 a.
m.
to 10:30 a.
m.
and other meetings as needed.
Attend yearly staff retreat.
Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:
Strong communication skills
Strong Interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to use a variety of software applications (Google Workspace; Monday for project management; Database software)
Attention to detail, particularly for inputting data in MO-RAP (state refugee database)and IRIS (national agency database)
Patient, friendly demeanor, and empathy for people with limited English skills from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.

Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree:
Preferred major or minor in communications, human resources, psychology, education, or business
Experience working cross-culturally
Experience in career counseling, high school counseling, College admissions, and/or college financial aid.
Language skills in any of the following languages: Arabic, Dari, French, Haitian Creole, Pashto, Rohingya, Spanish, Swahili, Ukrainian, Urdu, Zaghawa
Reports to: Youth Program Coordinator
Compensation:
This is a Full-time W2 position.
All appropriate Federal and State taxes will be withheld per IRS W-4 and MO W-4.
The employer portion of SSI and Medicare taxes will be paid by RAISE.
Pay: $20 per hour
Hours: 32-40 hours per week average
Payment - monthly.
No later than the 10th of the following month if the timesheet is submitted prior to that date.
If the timesheet is submitted on or after the 10th, payment will be made on Friday for time sheets turned in by Wednesday.
