*Description:*
The Upward Bound Program at NEO A & M College is seeking an energetic leader to work with participating high school students as Activity Director.
Upward Bound is a program designed to encourage high school students to develop the academic skills and motivation necessary for success in post-secondary education.
The participating Upward Bound students will live on campus during the five weeks program and attend intensive academic courses and personal developmental activities.
*Qualifications and Experience Needed: *
* Previous experience working with high school students.
* Experience in an educational setting
* Demonstrate sensitivity to needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged youth.
* Preference to individuals who have backgrounds similar to the target population.
*Job Duties: *
Duties include but are not limited to*:*
* Provide students with various team building/leadership activities during the Upward Bound Summer Academy.
* Create, set up, and implement activities.
* Provide high impact learning to students and staff.
* Assist with creating and implementing activities for students to prepare for college.
* Additional duties as assigned by the project director.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $1,500.
