CDL LOCAL DRIVER
Asbell Trucking, a division of Asbell Companies is currently seeking CDL Local Drivers to fill immediate positions based out of our Carl Junction, MO location.
Drivers will be required to haul construction materials, rock, dirt or equipment.
This an hourly paid position based on experience with the opportunity for overtime.
Asbell Trucking provides excellent benefits after the 60th day of employment.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
Safely maximize working day to fullest extent possible while complying with DOT guidance
Operate safety equipment when required
Comply with DOT, Asbell and Customer safety standards
Receive materials and transport to designated facility
Complete all required inspections of cargo, tractor/trailer and equipment
Provide plan routes for shipping/receiving
Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
Inspect truck before and after trip, keeping equipment clean and provide operational levels of fluids
Learn, maintain, and operate Asbell equipment
Effective, professional, and clear communication with Asbell staff
Perform duties assigned by management staff as requested
Qualifications
Must be at least 23 years of age
Must have 3 years previous verifiable experience with a CDL class A or B license
Airbrakes preferred, but not mandatory
Experience operating tractor trailers including dump truck, end dump, flat beds & RGN's
Current commercial driver's license
Must have a clean MVR
Drug screen and criminal background check mandatory
Must meet DOT physical and medical requirements
Ability to handle physical workload and lift 50 pounds
