*Responsibilities:*
* Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
* Register and assign rooms to guests.
* Transmit and receive messages using telephone, fax, and switchboard.
* Answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local attractions.
* Keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts.
* Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
* Make, confirm, and cancel reservations for guests.
* Post charges and make deposits in accordance with company policies.
* Communicate effectively with other hotel departments.
* Embrace company culture initiatives.
* Perform other duties as required or requested.
*Skills & Abilities:*
* Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to deliver results.
* Ability to work well with and motivate a variety of personality types.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize.
* Experience with relevant brand-specific PMS.
* Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
*Education & Experience:*
* High School diploma or GED preferred.
* Hospitality customer service experience preferred, but not required.
*Hours:*
* Scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
*Physical Requirements:*
* Standing for long periods of time.
* Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally.
* May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.
*Work Conditions:*
* Inside work environment.
Not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.
