Our Engine Management Segment manufactures and distributes a full line of critical components for the ignition, electrical, emissions, fuel and safety-related systems of motor vehicles.
Our Temperature Control Segment manufactures and distributes a full line of critical components for the temperature control (air conditioning and heating) systems, engine cooling systems, power window accessories and windshield washer systems of motor vehicles.
We sell our products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico and other Latin American countries.

Customer Service Coordinator
Standard Motor Products-Independence, KS has an immediate opening to join our Customer Service Team.
This individual must be able to work in a high demand, fast paced environment with the ability to quickly switch between high-focus tasks and organize your time and workload in a way that allows you to complete multiple tasks of different nature throughout the day.
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The responsibilities of the position include:
• Customer account management
• Enter purchase orders and follow through to delivery
• Access and manage customer online portals
• Process Electronic Data Interchange customer orders
• Understand and analyze customer scorecard metrics
• Communicate with customers and all levels of SMP management
• Prepare customer returns and debit/credit documentation
• Prepare Customs documentation
Experience/Education:
• Business or related Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing customer service or planning environment.
Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision in a professional manner
• Time management skills
• Task Prioritization
