GENERAL DESCRIPTION This position is a part of the Information Technology team.
This position is responsible for maintaining technology infrastructure.
This position assesses the viability of systems to address the needs of the organization.
Requirements: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Uses systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; The design, documentation, testing, creation or modification of computer programs related to machine operating systems, such as the IP phone system hardware and software.
Maintains security and business continuity practices on all systems including daily data backup and protection processes.
Provides security/system reports to Administrative staff when requested.
Receives hardware and software into system.
Assist Administration with an assessment of technology needs, including pricing, as needed.
Schedules/Coordinates implementation of server and storage system changes with all affected users within the organization (other system owners/users, applications, telecommunications, management, etc).
Ensures all changes strictly follow the organizations change control process.
Responsible for ensuring contracted obligations are adhered to, such as licensing requirements.
Keeping track of scheduled system upgrades.
Update administration of changes in maintenance costs.
Has an understanding of the overall architecture and security of the CHC/SEK network systems.
Participates in development of security risk assessments on all software programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree with certifications (Networking, Security, CMWA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator), Comp Tia 701 and 702) or Bachelors degree in related field.
At least three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting.
Valid driver’s license as travel is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patient-and employee-base.
Demonstrate knowledge of the rationale of appropriate patient care.
Must be organized and able to manage/prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, adapts to change in a positive manner, able to work as a part of a team.
Communicates through appropriate channels.
Use proper chain of command for patient complaints.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Must be computer literate, especially with Microsoft Office products.
Must be able to maintain good inter-personal relationship with co-workers and other members of the health care team and the organization.
Provide customer service in accordance to the organization’s mission.
Be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance to organization’s policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements.
