Job Summary: Prepares meals for residents and staff in accordance to procedures and maintains a clean and safe work environment Job Responsibilities: Preparing meals and snacks for residents following menus and guidelines provided.
Prepare steam table prior to each meal in a timely manner.
Record temperatures of food and equipment as required.
Clean work area and equipment in kitchen and steam table area after each meal.
Follow assigned daily cleaning and chart when complete.
Do prep assignments and re-stock items to prepare for the next meals.
Following posted schedule for cleaning of major equipment, work areas, and storage areas.
Job Qualifications & Skills: Ability to understand and follow basic cooking directions and recipes Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
Self motivated Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift heavy objects Must be able to endure cold and hot temperatures Must have reliable transportation Must be able to get along with others in a close environment Every other weekend, holidays, and some evenings required We Own It!.
