Custodian/Kitchen Helper

*AREA AGENCY ON AGING, REGION X* *Job Title: Custodian-Kitchen Helper* *Report To: *Center Manager and Head Cook *FLSA Status: *Non-exempt *SUMMARY* The Custodian and Kitchen Helper at the *Webb City* Senior Center works to create a clean, orderly, and safe environment by performing a wide variety of cleaning, sanitation and maintenance activities for the building and assists in the kitchen as needed.
Follows all nutrition policies as outlined by the AAAX Nutrition Program and follows required Federal & State guidelines.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following: 1.
Sets-up dining tables & cleans dining tables and chairs daily.
2.
Maintains a clean, orderly and sanitary kitchen, storage, and serving area.
3.
Washing and sanitizing dishes.
4.
Empties trash daily and cleans receptacles.
5.
Checks soap and paper supplies and refill as needed.
6.
Sweeps, wet mops floors and cleans entry doors & windows daily.
7.
Janitorial cleaning and sanitation.
8.
Understands and practices safe handling of all chemicals.
9.
Assists with unloading food trucks.
10.
Assists the Head Cook as needed.
11.
*Other duties as assigned.
* *CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS* Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirement or have reliable transportation.
Must have or be willing to obtain ServSafe certification.
