Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team.
As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Duties:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
- Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before reuse
- Sort and stack clean dishes for easy access by kitchen staff
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or chopping ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, including sweeping and mopping floors
- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations in handling food and cleaning chemicals
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary or food service environment is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
