Assistant Pit Master

Description: Provide skilled and efficient culinary support to the Executive Chef.
This Team Member not only preps, rubs, and smokes our decadent meats, but completes our side dishes and some desserts on the smoker as well.
The Asst.
Pitmaster position is responsible for preparing all meats, beans, and side dishes using our smokers located on site and supporting the Pit Master in ensuring consistent food quality and service.
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Follows a recipe book to prepare and cook meats and side dishes according to proper preparation methods.
Practices safe food handling and cleanliness at all times.
Prepare food using recipes per our current recipe book.
Responsible for unpacking and organizing received goods.
Work may be fast paced, and a high degree of quality and accuracy is required.
Must exhibit maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time.
Must have strong menu knowledge.
Ability to communicate with others to ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction.
Able to adhere to schedule and be on time for shifts.
Operate and participate effectively in a team environment.
Preparing food for service.

chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Maintaining Cleanliness.
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation.
Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
Education/Qualifications · Some Culinary training preferred.
· Requires a minimum of 2 years of prior Line Cook experience in a fine dining atmosphere, or equivalent education and experience.
· Must be at least 18 years.
· Requires food handler’s permit.
Licensing · Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License
