*Title: *Full Time/Part Time Lead Teacher and Floater
*Supervisor:* Preschool Director
*Job Description:* The preschool teacher will work directly with the director and teaching staff to provide a safe, nurturing, high quality, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages three to five years old.
*Education, Training, Experience:*
*Required:*
Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and meet one of the following state requirements:
*Option 1*- 6 months’ teaching experience in any licensed facility with preschool-aged children
*Option 2*- 5 sessions of 2.
5 hours of observation in any licensed facility with preschool-aged children at different times of the day AND 10 hours of KDHE-approved training
*Option 3*- At least 3 semester hours of college credit in early childhood AND supervised observation in high school or college or any 3 months’ work experience with preschool-aged children
*Option 4*- Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
*Desired:*
Degree in Early Childhood Education
Experience in church ministry with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
Familiarity and experience with play-based pedagogy
Familiarity and experience in developmentally appropriate practice as defined by the NAEYC

*Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:*
Arrive on time daily and meet annual attendance requirements
Assist in preparing learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies
Actively supervise children
Assist with bathroom breaks and transitions between activities
Participate in and occasionally lead morning circle and daily activities for preschool and pre-k classrooms
Step in for teachers where needed
Communicate with families on a daily basis
Collaborate with learning center staff and K-8thgrade school staff
Attend all learning center staff meetings, events, and trainings
Assist teachers with general housekeeping tasks
Prepare and serve snacks
Follow learning center schedule
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $13.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
* 4 hour shift
* 8 hour shift
* After school
* Monday to Friday
