1979 Ford F-250 4x4 V8 400/351M Automatic $6400 cab & chassis, CLEAR TITLE - Truck Runs, Drives.
Cab & chassis priced at $6400 but would sell optional Omaha utility bed (currently on truck) for additional $1250.
We bought the '79 in the mid 90’s at a dealership as a local trade in from a farmer who had bought it new in 1979.
It was my husband’s daily driver for a few years until we got a newer truck.
It gets started and moved around a bit a little every month or so, but this truck hasn’t seen much road time since 2000 and it will likely need some brake work soon.
It might be wise to plan to haul it until it can be inspected for highway use.
We replaced the engine around 1999 with a motor out of a similar year of car (a Lincoln?) and we never confirmed whether the replacement motor was a 400 or a 351M.
It’s running on a stock car fuel cell that sits in the front of the bed.
It has some rust as you can see from the photos.
