We are looking to expand our team and add a Rehab technician.
This position would support the Director of Rehab with administrative duties.
Major focus would be assisting with Telehealth treatments within a facility.
Would be a great start for someone wanting to explore being a future therapist.
In addition, this person would help facilitate and coordinate telehealth visits with remote therapists.
See the full job description below: Full Job Description Job Summary-This job, under direct on-premises supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist and according to detailed instructions, competency completion, policies and procedures, follows assigned duties and prepares therapy areas and patients for treatments, and transports patients by use of wheelchairs and stretchers.
Maintains all equipment and environment to assure that they are clean, operable, and safe.
Support with administrative tasks are required such as filling and support with inventory of department equipment.
The Rehab Technician follows isolation techniques once trained as outlined in Infection Control policy.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Reporting lines: The Rehabilitation Technician will report directly to the Director of Rehabilitation.
Your direct reports: NONE Responsibilities include: Follows Sovereign Healthcare Group policies and procedures as listed.
Prepares/maintains work area for treatment including ordering of supplies/linen and pharmaceuticals; orients and mentors new staff in needs of assigned area.
Monitors and assists therapists/assistants specifically as instructed according to their competencies, but are not to perform or bill for skilled treatment intervention.
Assists with generalized office and front desk procedures.
Transports patients to/from department or room via w/c or stretcher, as directed by professional staff in a safe and courteous manner.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
Participates in facility or departmental meetings as requested.
Completes additional duties as requested.
