* *Title:* Assistant Registrar *Date:* December 2023 *FLSA Status:* Exempt – Full time, 12-month position *Department:* Academic Affairs *Reports to*: Registrar *Salary:* *Job Summary: *Assists the registrar in the maintenance of student academic records, enrollment support services, and all registration services and related matters.
*Duties and Responsibilities:* · Ensures compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and all other applicable laws and regulations · Assists students, faculty, and staff in interpreting academic policy · Monitors academic standing, probation, dismissal, President's and Dean's Lists · Provides transcript services for all current students and alumnae · Supports information needs of students, faculty, administration, and other constituencies subject to limitations of data availability and privacy · Certifies enrollment of students with veterans benefits to Veterans Administration as a School Certifying Official for the college · Provides training for student information system users · Performs other duties as assigned by the registrar *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* · Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing · Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies · Ability to analyze and solve problems · Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues · Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures · Detail oriented · Ability to foster a cooperative work environment · Ability to handle details as well as manage multiple tasks and deadlines · Skill in using computerized student information programs for student record keeping as well as retrieving and analyzing data for reports · Knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws regarding student records · Knowledge of NAIA student-athlete academic eligibility requirements · Knowledge of VA eligibility requirements *Credentials and Experience:* · Prior experience with automated student information systems desired · Prior experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel · Progressively responsible and relevant administrative experience *Special Requirements:* · Commitment to the mission and goals of the College Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35,000.
