Purpose
Continually monitor and develop appropriate analyses and reports for Electric Operations management to help ensure that capital and O&M budget projects are completed on time and on budget.
Will also assist Electric Operations with initial budget preparation and accounting-related functions as necessary.
Primary contact for cost controls on construction projects, including processing of all invoices and payments.
This position has reporting responsibility to the Senior Director of Operations.
Accountabilities
Develop and maintain methods and procedures that accurately track and communicate project costs and forecasts.
Process invoices and payments for construction projects.
Monitor outstanding contractor invoicing and ensure timely submission.
Create ad hoc reporting as needed to Operations Management Team.
Accurately track and provide year-to-date spending reports on capital and O&M budgets.
Submit monthly accruals for Operations budgets.
Support regulatory data requests and reporting for compliance purposes.
Publish bid packages to contractors in Procore as requested.
Participate in storm restoration efforts as requested.
Education and Experience
BS Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) required.
Advanced analytical skills and demonstrated knowledge of accounting theory and principles required.
3 years’ work experience in a highly regulated industry preferred.
Experience with Microsoft and Procore preferred.
A valid driver's license
