What is this job all about?
In this position, an individual will perform accounting work in managing benefits for an assigned caseload of individuals.
That’s nice, but what will I actually be doing?
Duties include:
Recording and reporting of financial transactions and budgetary controls for assigned funds and Arc departments.
Reviewing and tracking ISL budgets.
Reporting annually to Social Security and making records available for review.
Reviewing and assisting in billing issues
Reporting on any changes as required by payee institutions or policy.
The ability to retrieve data and complete necessary forms timely and to assist in the preparation of financial report statements and analyses pertaining to ISL budgets, budget issues, billings issues, and any other relevant data.
What do I need to be successful in this position?
Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
Ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports.
Ability to express ideas effectively, verbally and in written form.
Infrequent travel within the state of Missouri to other Arc offices.
What do I need to be qualified for this position?
Associate degree in accounting or 3 years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience required.
Working knowledge of PC, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Candidates will be asked to demonstrate knowledge and ability within Microsoft Excel as part of the interviewing process.
Experience in accounting software preferred.
Licensed and insured driver with the ability to drive for work purposes.
