*Tax Accountant*
Churchwell Hedman Tax Group is seeking a full-time Business and Individual Tax Accountant in Joplin, Missouri to join our tax and accounting team.
This salary position is a vital role within the firm where the core responsibilities include business tax preparation and accounting while maintaining professionalism and excellent client service.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently and within our team.
*Essential responsibilities*
· Creating, balancing and adjusting trial balances
· Communicating with clients on information and questions pertaining to completing tax returns, including journal entries, depreciation schedules and financial reporting
· Proficient knowledge with balance sheets, profit & loss statements and trial balances
· Completion of specific business tax returns: C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Estates/Trusts and Non-For-Profits Form 990
· Completing Form 1040 and related schedules for self-employed, rental and farming clients
*Requirements*
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
· Three years of experience with business and individual tax returns
· Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and Excel
· Recommended experience with QuickBooks and EasyAcct
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· The ability to multi-task and collaborate with team members
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
