*Job Title: *CommercialLoan Officer
*Job purpose*
Labette Bank is seeking a resourceful individual with commercial lending experience to assist with servicing of an existing commercial loan portfolio and develop new customer relationships.
Commercial Loan officer will be responsible for development and management of account relationships for the Bank and specifically for the Commercial Lending portfolio.
*Duties and responsibilities*
Responsibilities include:
* Identifying and developing new commercial loan relationships.
* Advising clients on suitable loan and credit options.
* Interviewing prospective customers seeking commercial loans.
* Obtaining and assessing financial information, including financial statements and credit histories.
* Structuring loan terms and conditions to meet the business needs and the Bank’s lending guidelines.
* Managing a commercial loan portfolio for adherence to loan terms and conditions including receipt of required financial information, covenant compliance and annual credit reviews.
* Performing due diligence on the lending process from application to closing documentation.
* Liaising between borrowers and underwriting departments.
* Working with Bank personnel to ensure loan documentation is prepared in accordance with loan approval requirements.
* Monitoring loan repayment activities, negotiating payment arrangements and preparing delinquent loan reports.
* Keeping abreast of amendments to loan policies, lending procedures, and regulations.
*Qualifications*
Qualifications include:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or in a related field.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* In-depth knowledge of loan policies and lending procedures.
* Experience in advising loan applications and assessing loan applications.
* Extensive experience in reviewing financial information.
* Advanced ability to negotiate payment plans and report delinquency.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Proficient with computer software such as Excel, Work, etc.
