JOB SUMMARY
Jay Hatfield Chevrolet in Columbus, KS is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to conduct all payroll administration for Jay Hatfield Auto Group employees across 10 locations (Kansas and Missouri); serving 250+ employees.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base compensation of $16 per year
RESPONSIBILITIES
accountable for collecting all timekeeping information, incorporating and processing a variety of payroll transactions and deductions into weekly and semi-monthly payroll
calculating monthly commissions, monitoring employee pay plans as well as issuing pay and pay-related information to employees
prepare reports and summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and non-taxable wages, process garnishments and court orders
post periodic payrolls in accounting software system
issue W-2 forms to employees
pay periodic taxes
Maintain daily payroll tracking and database including review, input and verification of employee time cards
Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly/semi-monthly payroll including calculating bonuses and overtime
Prepare and reconcile payroll taxes, including quarterly and year-end reports
Update payroll records in the system
Coordinate with other departments to ensure all payroll related information is accurate
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll related issues.
REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a Payroll role is a must
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of payroll best practices
