Job Duties: The duties for this position include supervision of adult and juvenile offenders placed on supervision by the District Court and preparation of reports as ordered by the District Court.
This position is assigned to the Bourbon County Court Services Office and will require travel to the other counties in the district as needed.
Specific Requirements: Supervise a caseload of adult and juvenile offenders; supervise a caseload of pre-trial offenders; use of Tyler Supervision to document all contacts and case information; use of Odyssey to verify payments and balances owed to the District Court and monitor Court dockets; compile monthly statistics; verify completion of all Court ordered conditions of probation; prepare presentence investigation reports and criminal history reports in both adult and juvenile cases; correspondence with other agencies and the public; testify in Court as needed; conduct urinalysis testing and perform any additional duties as required by the Chief CSO or the Court.
Required qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in corrections, criminology, counseling, psychology or a closely related field.
Additional preferred qualifications: Working knowledge of the criminal justice field; experience in caseload management and handling multiple tasks; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to complete work under time-sensitive deadlines; ability to work independently; excellent oral and written communication skills; LSCMI, WRNA, EPICS AND YLS-CMI certification.

If employed by Court Services, the new employee will have to pass a fingerprint-based background check within the first 30 days of employment.
The new employee will also be required to obtain LSCMI, YLS-CMI, EPICS and WRNA certification through the Court-approved process.
