Trade for Land Use (Within an hour driving distance of Bolivar)

We moved back to the area due to my Father's illness and made a work trade agreement for housing and food with someone here.
This person has now breached our verbal agreement and we are in a bit of a situation.
I am working on buying a military surplus tent and a wood stove as well as some other basics.
Me and my family are trying to work to save money to buy a small plot of land to build an off-grid homebase.
Right now I am looking for a place I can set up a tent and a temporary off-grid living space.
I am willing to trade labor and what skills I have or lease the land.
I am good with tech, decent with physical labor, capable with general tools and my primary work expereince is as an in-home care worker.
I have a wife, four kids and a dog.
Ideally the area would be about a 40x40 space that is not on a flood plain and is generally flat.
